Breakfast

I came home from running this morning to find Bruce making homemade pancakes...with a recipe....from scratch. This is not the man I've been married to for 30 years. He's becoming a craftsman in the kitchen! I feel a mixture of admiration and displacement. This is definitely my territory. I think my real fear is that Bruce--my greatest fan when it comes to cooking--is going to realize that there isn't much to it. Notice the homemade syrup...the happy children eating ...the tidy kitchen? I may be out of a job.

Send him on down! I'll happily let him take over my kitchen. Everyone looks so cute. You're right, though. This is not the father I remember=)

mom, I may have given your blog a little makeover. If you don't like it, it took very little time to do and will take no time to change it back. Just know that it was done out of love, so don't be upset with me.

About Me

My photo
There are no joys to compare with family. The experiences and feeling associated with family run so deep. Little moments are filled with meaning. They are the people who know us best and who we know best and who will be forever. This blog is a collection of the experiences that we can remember--the ones that happen on earth. I think our associations began long before and maybe the best is yet to be. Brigham Young says that our mortal experience is dreary compared to what is to come. I'm glad I can't see ahead because my life is anything but dreary. These people are my light and my joy.
