Book Club

Can I just say that everyone on this earth would be a little better off if they had a book club? Ours has gotten slightly out of hand. It started out just a once a month book discussion with some light refreshments. Then Christie made dinner one time. It was this fabulous Mulligatawny Soup with strawberry pie for dessert. We were discussing The Life of Pi so I think the soup from India and the "pie" were her playful way of tying into the book. Well we were all off and running from there. Dinner became the focal point and we started sharing our lives more. But for the record, we didn't decrease our book time. We stayed faithful to our mandate--literary enrichment. But the evening stretched from 2 to 4 to 5 hours. Finally we agreed that a trip was in order. That explains the title of this post. No books in sight--just the book club.

About Me

My photo
There are no joys to compare with family. The experiences and feeling associated with family run so deep. Little moments are filled with meaning. They are the people who know us best and who we know best and who will be forever. This blog is a collection of the experiences that we can remember--the ones that happen on earth. I think our associations began long before and maybe the best is yet to be. Brigham Young says that our mortal experience is dreary compared to what is to come. I'm glad I can't see ahead because my life is anything but dreary. These people are my light and my joy.
